Splash Brushstroke Modern Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 3' x 5' to 9' x 12' · for bedroom, entryway, living room · free shipping across India.

Splash is a modern hand-tufted wool carpet with a brushstroke design, available in several colourways. The pattern looks as if colour has been swept across the floor in broad, loose strokes, with the softened, feathered edges associated with ikat. It suits a room that wants an artistic touch without a formal repeat. It pairs well with plain walls and solid-colour sofas.

Material and make

Making a hand-tufted carpet means pushing wool yarn through a cloth base with a hand-held tool, then backing the carpet and shearing the pile level. The result is a plush carpet with a dense, cushioned look. Wool itself is warm and resilient, and any loose fibre clears within the first few weeks of vacuuming.

In the room

Larger sizes, from 6' x 9' to 9' x 12', can sit beneath a sofa and armchairs, with the coffee table fully on the carpet. A smaller size such as 3' x 5' fits a bedside or a reading corner. Start with the colourway that picks up a shade already in your room, then choose the size. Measure the floor first, and leave a margin of bare floor around the carpet.

Care

Vacuum with the beater bar off and blot spills quickly. For deep cleaning, use a professional service. Rotating it end to end keeps the brushstrokes wearing evenly.
