Leidel Ikat Blue Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet LEI-2

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 2' x 3' to 9' x 12' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

This Leidel is an ikat hand-tufted wool carpet in blue, made for rooms where a calm colour is wanted. The ikat pattern has softly blurred edges that give a gentle sense of movement, and the blue keeps the effect cool and restful. It suits a bedroom especially well, and it works in a living room too.

Material and make

Tufting is carried out by hand in a few clear steps: yarn is pushed through a backing cloth, the back is coated to hold it, and the pile is trimmed even. The yarn is wool, a fibre that is warm underfoot and springs back after use. Some loose fibre appears early and fades.

In the room

In a bedroom, 5' x 8' sits across the foot of the bed, and 8' x 10' lets the whole bed stand on the carpet with a border showing on each side. 2' x 3' is a bedside mat, and 3'6" x 5'6" suits a dressing corner. 9' x 12' is meant for a big living room, and 2'6" x 8' for a hall.

Care

Switch off the beater bar when vacuuming, and blot spills with a clean cloth. Move the carpet around its spot now and then to spread sunlight and footfall. Choose a professional cleaner for deep cleaning.
