Mayamo Bohemian Moroccan Wool Carpet

Quick facts: wool · sizes 2' x 3' to 9'3" x 12'6" · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Mayamo is a bohemian wool carpet with Moroccan-style geometry, and it is available in several colourways. The pattern is relaxed enough for a bedroom yet clear enough to hold its own under a living room sofa. Because the colourway can be chosen, the carpet can be matched to bedding, curtains or a painted wall rather than the other way round.

Material and make

Made from wool, the carpet is warm, resilient and forgiving of daily use. The pile springs back after furniture has stood on it, and loose fibre in the early weeks is a normal part of a new wool carpet. India is the country of manufacture.

In the room

In a bedroom, a size such as 5'3" x 7'6" can sit beside the bed and extend past its foot, so your feet meet it first thing in the morning. The 7'10" x 9'10" size is generous enough to run under most of a double bed and the bedside tables. The smaller options are better for a reading corner or a doorway.

Care

Vacuum it gently, turn it around now and then, and blot spills at once. A professional cleaner is the right call for set-in marks.
