Overdyed Green & Grey Hand-Knotted Wool Carpet 6' x 9'

Quick facts: hand-knotted wool · size 6' x 9' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

This is an overdyed green and grey hand-knotted wool carpet measuring 6' x 9'. The overdyed look softens a traditional design into something more muted, with green and grey working together as a calm, earthy pair. It is a carpet for people who like the shape of a classic pattern but not the usual bright colours.

Material and make

The knotting is done by hand at an upright loom, followed by an even shearing of the surface, so the carpet is dense and long-wearing. Wool is warm and resilient, and a few loose fibres at the start fade with vacuuming. The design follows a traditional, Persian-style layout, with the green and grey carried through the wool.

In the room

At 6' x 9', it suits a living room where a sofa and a pair of armchairs can sit with their front legs on the carpet, or a large bedroom with the bed placed partly on it. Green and grey go well with dark wood, brass lamps and cream walls, so the carpet is easy to dress around, and a dining table with chairs also sits comfortably on a size like this.

Care

Use the vacuum on its gentlest setting, with the beater bar switched off, and turn the carpet around occasionally. Blot spills straight away, and have a professional clean the carpet when it needs more than a spot treatment.
