Living with a carpet through the monsoon. Wool handles humidity well and recovers; silk wants a dry room; jute and natural fibres are the ones to keep out of damp coastal rooms, since they hold water and can spot. Air the room, lift the carpet off wet floors, and dry any spill from the back as well as the front.

Hand-knotted carpets, made in India

Rugsville has been weaving in Bhadohi since 1978. Every carpet on this site is made on our own looms in Uttar Pradesh and Kashmir — Persian and Tabriz designs, tribal geometry, flatweave dhurries and kilims, overdyed vintage pieces, and natural fibres like jute and sisal. Sizes run from a 3 × 5 ft bedside piece to a 9 × 12 ft carpet for a large living room, and anything beyond that is woven to your measurements.

We ship free across India, accept cash on delivery in most pin codes, offer no-cost EMI, and give you seven days to return a carpet that is not right for the room. Every order comes with a GST invoice, and GST is added at checkout.
