A contemporary composition in chrome silver, sitting inside a long line of design that survives because nothing in it shouts. The piece was hand-tufted in India over 6 weeks. Two tufters and a finisher worked the surface, pushing wool yarn through a stretched cotton canvas one row at a time with a hand-held tufting gun. The reverse was sealed with natural latex and a cotton scrim, then trimmed by hand with long shears to set the relief that lets the pattern read at room scale rather than dissolving into noise underfoot.
The composition
The single chrome silver field carries the contemporary composition through subtle pile relief rather than colour change, the way a Jacquard weave handles a tone-on-tone pattern. The way the cut pile catches light from one angle and absorbs it from another is what distinguishes the surface from a flatweave or a printed textile.
The piece in a room
The rug centres a primary seating arrangement, sits below a coffee table, or anchors a bedroom with the bed entirely on the field. Mid-tone wood, polished brass, and worn leather pair well with the palette. Direct sun is welcome and warms the wool through the day. Day-to-day care
- Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.
Deep cleaning
- Professional dry-cleaning is recommended every 12-24 months for hand-knotted carpets.
- Avoid steam cleaners and hot water on natural-fibre rugs (wool, silk, jute) — they can cause shrinkage and dye bleeding.

- Roll (do not fold) the carpet around a clean cardboard tube, pile-side in.
- Wrap in breathable cotton sheeting (not plastic) and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.

What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom-size, custom-colour, and custom-design hand-knotted carpets typically take 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Minimum custom-order size is 4'×6'. Send us your brief on WhatsApp with the room photo and dimensions for a quote.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
