Hews Modern Textured Grey Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 3' x 5' to 9' x 12' · for bedroom, entryway, living room · free shipping across India.

Hews is a modern hand-tufted wool carpet in grey with a textured design, ranging in size from 3' x 5' up to 9' x 12'. Grey is a flexible background colour, and the texture gives it interest without adding pattern, so the carpet fits equally well in a spare, modern room or one that is full of furniture.

Material and make

To tuft a carpet by hand, a hand-held tool pushes wool yarn through a backing cloth; the carpet is then backed and sheared level, which leaves a soft, plush surface. Wool is resilient, warm underfoot and quick to spring back. Some loose fibre in the early days is normal and settles with regular vacuuming.

In the room

The little 3' x 5' and 4' x 6' belong at a bedside, inside the door or in front of a desk. The 5' x 8' and 6' x 9' sizes suit a bedroom or a modest sitting area, while 8' x 10' and 9' x 12' give a larger living room the space it needs for a full seating group.

Care

Vacuum on a low setting, switching the beater bar off, and blot spills as soon as they occur. Rotate the carpet now and then, and call a professional for stains that do not lift.
