Shale Modern Graphite & Ocean Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 3' x 5' to 12' x 15' · for bedroom, entryway, living room · free shipping across India.

Shale is an abstract modern hand-tufted wool carpet in graphite and ocean blue. The abstract pattern sets dark graphite against cooler ocean tones, giving the floor a layered, watery look. It suits a contemporary room that needs depth without a busy design, and its sizes range from small accent pieces to very large formats.

Material and make

Each Shale carpet is tufted by hand: the yarn is driven into a cloth backing with a hand-held tool, then the carpet is backed and the surface sheared flat. Wool is resilient and warm, and the plush pile springs back after use. A little shedding is to be expected at first and eases off with regular vacuuming.

In the room

Smaller formats like 3' x 5' and 4' x 6' work beside a bed or in an entryway, while 5' x 8' and 6' x 9' suit the area in front of a sofa. The 8' x 10' and 9' x 12' can carry a bed or a full seating group, and 10' x 14' and 12' x 15' are made for open-plan rooms. Blue and graphite go well with white walls and pale wood.

Care

Vacuum on a gentle setting, leaving off the beater bar. Blot spills quickly, and use a professional cleaner when the carpet needs more than spot treatment.
