Trellis Modern Brown Handwoven Wool Dhurrie Carpet

Quick facts: handwoven wool · sizes Custom to 12' x 18' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Trellis Brown is a brown dhurrie carpet, handwoven from wool, with a modern bird-eye design and a wide range of sizes. Brown is the colour of timber and soil, so the carpet fits quietly into homes that lean towards earthy, natural tones. The trellis grid adds order without shouting for attention.

Material and make

There is no knotted pile on a dhurrie: the weaving is done by hand and the surface lies flat against the floor, which also keeps the carpet light. Wool is a warm, springy fibre that recovers after furniture has stood on it. A few loose fibres in the early days are normal and soon disappear.

In the room

In a living room, 8' x 10' is a good partner for a sofa with a pair of chairs, while 6' x 9' suits a smaller seating area. The 2' x 3' size works at a back door or beside a kitchen sink, and 12' x 15' or 12' x 18' fits a large open space. Pale walls and cream upholstery make the brown glow.

Care

Use a vacuum without a beater bar and shake out the smaller sizes. Blot spills right away and leave stubborn marks to a professional cleaner.
