This composition came out of a Turkish design studio working between traditional Anatolian carpet vocabulary and contemporary European graphic design. The result is a single arrested image rather than a tiled repeat, sized to the working dimensions of a modern living room.
The palette is built around a multi-toned palette. The studio iterated the colour relationships through several proofs before locking the production cartoon. At distance the field reads as one quiet ground; on approach the shift in density becomes visible.
The composition
The colour register holds a multi-toned palette as its principal value. The design is allowed enough silence around itself that the field never falls into competition with the border or the centre. Plant-derived dye keeps the surface alive across changing daylight; the same panel reads warmer in lamp light and cooler at midday, which is the working signature of vegetable colour. The composition rewards both a long look from across the room and a close inspection from a low chair beside the rug.
The fibre
The yarn is polypropylene, heat-set so the colour is fixed at temperature rather than printed on the surface. The fibre is dimensionally stable, holds its dye against direct sunlight, and releases pigmented spills before they bond. The pile takes the weight of furniture without permanent compression and does not shed loose fibre across the working life of the rug.
The piece in a room
At 5'3" x 7'6" the rug anchors a medium living area or a primary bedroom. It expects to sit under the front legs of seating rather than the entire arrangement, with a half-foot of rug visible between sofa edge and floor on every side. The composition reads whole from a standing position at the door of the room. Pairs with mid-tone walls and warm wood furniture.
Care
Vacuum routinely. The fibre does not stain, the colour does not fade against direct sun, and the structure tolerates anything a domestic vacuum can do. Spills lift with a damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent. A cold machine wash handles deeper cleaning if needed; the rug dries flat in a couple of hours and is ready to use the same day.

Day-to-day care
- Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.
Deep cleaning
- Professional dry-cleaning is recommended every 12-24 months for hand-knotted carpets.
- Avoid steam cleaners and hot water on natural-fibre rugs (wool, silk, jute) — they can cause shrinkage and dye bleeding.
- For washable flat-weaves and cotton dhurries, machine-wash on a gentle cold cycle in a mesh bag.
Storage
- Roll (do not fold) the carpet around a clean cardboard tube, pile-side in.
- Wrap in breathable cotton sheeting (not plastic) and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.
- Use moth-protection sachets if storing wool for more than a season.

Colours on screen also vary by monitor and lighting. If you are matching a specific decor, request a yarn sample before ordering.
Can I get a sample before buying?
Yes — we send 2-3 small yarn / pile samples for ₹500 (refundable against your purchase). Message us on WhatsApp with the SKU and your shipping pin code to arrange a sample.
What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom-size, custom-colour, and custom-design hand-knotted carpets typically take 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Minimum custom-order size is 4'×6'. Send us your brief on WhatsApp with the room photo and dimensions for a quote.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
COD is available for most pin codes in zones A and B (metros and tier-2 cities). Some remote pin codes are prepaid only — the pin-code checker above will tell you immediately.
