The drawing belongs to a generation of contemporary studio work that has been re-interpreting Persian and Anatolian carpet vocabulary for modern interiors. The result is a pattern that carries the historical reference without being a reproduction; the colour is softened, the figuration thinned, and the composition opened up so the field reads as a single graphic rather than a busy decorative surface.
Production took place in Turkey on a jacquard loom set up to translate the working drawing into machine instructions. The pile is woven at high density so the field carries weight underfoot, and the surface is finished with a light shear pass before the rug is rolled and packed. The construction tier is built for daily living rather than for occasional display.
The fibre
The fibre is heat-set polypropylene, dyed at the staple stage so the colour is part of the yarn rather than a coating. UV resistance is built in. Stains lift with a damp cloth because the fibre itself is non-absorbent. The rug is light, easy to vacuum, and tolerates the kind of traffic that a wool tier would not.
The composition
Multicoloured dominant with secondary tones brought in around it. The geometry is drawn at room scale, so the pattern reads from a standing viewer and resolves on approach. Pairs cleanly with mixed wood furniture and quiet upholstery, and gives a busy room a calm graphic ground without competing with the rest of the composition.
The piece in a room
At 5'3" × 7'4" (160 × 224 cm) the rug anchors a primary bedroom or a medium living area. Soft bone, putty, or lime-washed plaster walls let the multicoloured field settle as a considered ground. Care

Day-to-day care
- Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.
Deep cleaning
- Professional dry-cleaning is recommended every 12-24 months for hand-knotted carpets.
- Avoid steam cleaners and hot water on natural-fibre rugs (wool, silk, jute) — they can cause shrinkage and dye bleeding.
- For washable flat-weaves and cotton dhurries, machine-wash on a gentle cold cycle in a mesh bag.
Storage
- Roll (do not fold) the carpet around a clean cardboard tube, pile-side in.
- Wrap in breathable cotton sheeting (not plastic) and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.
- Use moth-protection sachets if storing wool for more than a season.

Can I get a sample before buying?
Yes — we send 2-3 small yarn / pile samples for ₹500 (refundable against your purchase). Message us on WhatsApp with the SKU and your shipping pin code to arrange a sample.
What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom-size, custom-colour, and custom-design hand-knotted carpets typically take 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Minimum custom-order size is 4'×6'. Send us your brief on WhatsApp with the room photo and dimensions for a quote.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
COD is available for most pin codes in zones A and B (metros and tier-2 cities). Some remote pin codes are prepaid only — the pin-code checker above will tell you immediately.
