Newparta Floral Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet NP-12

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 2' x 3' to 9' x 12' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

This Newparta floral carpet is hand-tufted from wool and comes in several colourways, with blue and navy among them. You choose the colourway and size from the options on this page, with 2' x 3' the smallest and 9' x 12' the largest. The floral pattern is the common thread, so one design can follow you from a small bedroom to a bigger lounge.

Material and make

Tufting is done with a hand-held tool that pushes yarn through a backing fabric in the shape of the pattern. Afterwards the carpet is backed and its surface is clipped level, which leaves a thick wool face. Wool is naturally springy and warm, and a certain amount of shedding in the opening weeks is part of how new wool settles in.

In the room

Something like 3'9" x 5'9" fits at the end of a bed or in a nook with a chair. Moving up to 5' x 8' gives you a generous zone in front of a sofa, and 8' x 10' or 9' x 12' reaches the legs of every seat in a family living room. Darker colourways hide everyday marks, and lighter ones open up a small room.

Care

Run the vacuum gently, beater bar off, and turn the carpet occasionally so it wears evenly. If something spills, press a clean cloth onto it instead of scrubbing.
