Brandon is an Arts & Crafts floral hand-tufted wool carpet available in several colourways, with a Persian-influenced pattern. The page lists a wide spread of sizes, from runners such as 2'6" x 8' to room-sized pieces such as 9' x 12', and round and square shapes too. Choose the shape and colourway that suit your floor plan.

Material and make

The wool yarn is driven through a backing cloth by hand-tufting; once backed, the carpet is sheared level for a dense, plush face. Wool is warm and springy and recovers well from the weight of furniture. A little early shedding is normal. As with any handmade carpet, tone and size can vary slightly from the photograph.

In the room

Runner sizes work in a hallway, 4' x 6' or 5' x 8' sit beside a bed, and 8' x 10' or 9' x 12' hold a full living room group. Round and square sizes suit a seating nook or a space under a small table. Check the colourways in daylight before you choose, and add underlay on hard floors.

Care

Vacuum on suction only and change the carpet's direction at intervals. Blot spills quickly, and use professional carpet cleaners for a full wash. Keep the carpet out of long, direct sun, which can soften the colours over time.
