Totemic Bohemian Multicolour Handwoven Jute Dhurrie Carpet 4' x 6'

Quick facts: handwoven jute · size 4' x 6' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Measuring 4' x 6' for a living room, the Totemic Bohemian is a flatweave jute dhurrie carpet in multicolour, with a geometric bohemian kilim design. The design is easy to live with: enough detail to hold interest, not so much that it dictates the rest of the room. It adds colour and texture without making a living room feel crowded.

Material and make

A flatweave has no pile, which makes it lighter and lower than a knotted or tufted carpet: useful under a dining table, in a doorway, or layered over a larger carpet. The low profile sits under doors and dining chairs without catching. Natural plant fibres give it an earthy texture and real durability; keep it to dry rooms, as the fibres do not like standing moisture.

In the room

A 4' x 6' works in a living room beside a sofa, or under a coffee table with the sofa's front legs resting on its edge. It also suits a bedroom, where it can sit beside the bed. Its flat profile means it can also lie beside a bed without catching bare feet.

Care

Vacuum with the beater bar off, turn the carpet end to end once or twice a year, and blot spills promptly.
