Spencer Floral Brown & Gold Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet 8' x 11'

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · size 8' x 11' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Spencer is a floral hand-tufted wool carpet in brown and gold, sized 8' x 11'. Flowers drawn in a warm brown and gold palette give the pattern a cosy, country look. It is a large carpet that makes a living room feel gathered and settled. Because the size is generous, it works best in a room where the whole carpet can be seen.

Material and make

Spencer is hand-tufted, which means wool yarn is punched into a backing cloth with a hand-held tool before backing and shearing give an even, plush surface. Wool is naturally warm and resilient, and it recovers quickly when furniture is moved. A little loose fibre in the early weeks is normal.

In the room

Generous enough for a living room, the 8' x 11' size lets the sofa and chairs rest on it, with the coffee table fully on the carpet. In a large bedroom it extends beyond the bed on all sides. Brown and gold sit well with wood furniture and cream walls. Pale walls and simple curtains keep the floral pattern from feeling heavy.

Care

Vacuum on a low setting without the beater bar and blot spills right away. A professional clean is best for a carpet of this size. Rotate it end to end every few months.
