The Mahal weaving district of central Iran became, by the late nineteenth century, the working ground for the Anglo-American carpet importers reshaping Persian production for Western drawing rooms. The fields were opened, the borders simplified, the palette softened. The pattern lineage in front of you descends from that moment.
The loom carried this piece for several months. Hand-tied knots at approximately 125 per square inch on a cotton foundation. Hand-spun wool dyed in small lots from madder root, indigo, oak gall, and walnut hull, each batch matured in copper vats for two to three weeks before the wool was lowered.
The composition
An open ivory field carries the central motif. The ivory grounds the composition; the blue works as relief above it. The palette settles into the deep saturations that vegetable dye holds without ever flattening. The rug arrives ready to begin a long life under foot.

What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Do you take custom orders?

Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
