Ziegler Persian Brown Hand-Knotted Wool Runner Carpet 2'6" x 20'

Quick facts: hand-knotted wool · size 2'6" x 20' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

This Ziegler-style hand-knotted wool runner carpet comes in 2'6" x 20' and in brown, a pairing that belongs in an entryway or hallway. The Persian-style design runs along the length of the floor, and the colouring keeps it easy to live with.

Material and make

Each knot is placed by hand on the loom, row upon row, and the finished pile is sheared to an even height. Wool takes everyday traffic well, springing back after use, and giving a little loose fibre in the early days. Knotted by hand and made from wool, the carpet is practical enough for a family entryway or hallway yet attractive enough to be its feature.

In the room

Measuring 2'6" x 20', this runner suits a hallway or the length of an entryway, where a wide carpet would not fit. Leave a strip of bare floor along both sides, and set it on a non-slip underlay so it lies flat. On a polished or plain floor, this hand-knotted wool runner carpet adds pattern and warmth to a passage that might otherwise feel empty.

Care

Let the carpet breathe: keep it dry, vacuum it softly and rotate it occasionally. Blot spills right away with a clean cloth, and call a professional cleaner rather than shampooing at home.
