Desa Modern Border Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 5' x 8' to 9' x 12' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

A clean border outlines the pattern of this Desa modern hand-tufted wool carpet, available in several colourways. The frame effect makes it easy to place in a living room or bedroom, because the edge of the carpet is always clearly defined. Pick your colourway first and then the size that suits the room.

Material and make

Tufting is carried out by hand, with wool yarn pushed through a backing cloth, then backed and sheared level. Wool is a naturally resilient fibre that holds its shape and feels warm in cooler weather. A new wool carpet will shed some loose fibre at the start, which regular vacuuming removes.

In the room

The larger 9' x 12' and 8' x 10' sizes are for rooms where the sofa and chairs sit on the carpet, while 5' x 8' is a bedroom size that stretches across the foot of the bed. Leave an even strip of bare floor around the edges so the border can be seen. In a wide entryway or hallway, the border keeps a smaller piece looking tidy against the walls.

Care

Vacuum regularly with the suction set low. Wipe spills with a clean damp cloth, rotate the carpet now and then, and call in a professional for deep cleaning. Furniture pads under heavy legs stop the surface from being flattened in one spot.
