Wilshire Floral Beige Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 2'6" x 9' to 8' x 10' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Wilshire is a floral hand-tufted wool carpet in beige, with a design that draws on country and Persian looks. The neutral beige keeps the florals gentle, so the carpet blends into most colour schemes. Sizes on this page include 2'6" x 9', 5' x 8' and 8' x 10', covering an entryway, a bedside and a living room.

Material and make

Using a hand-held tufting tool, the yarn is driven through the backing cloth, and the carpet is backed and sheared to produce a thick, plush pile. Wool fibre is tough, warm and naturally springy, and vacuuming soon clears the loose fibres of the early weeks.

In the room

The narrow size works as a runner in an entryway or alongside a bed, and the mid-size sits in front of a sofa. The largest covers a living room floor under a seating group. Beige pairs well with white walls, wood and sage or blue accents, and its quiet florals let patterned cushions share the room. Floral patterns in neutral colours are among the easiest to live with, since they add detail without demanding a particular colour scheme. If you are dressing an entryway, the narrow size will run the length of it neatly.

Care

Gentle vacuuming, with no beater bar, is all it needs day to day. Rotate it now and then, and clean up spills quickly by blotting.
