Tibet Fish Bohemian Red Hand-Knotted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-knotted wool · sizes 3' x 5' to 6' x 9' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Tibet Fish is a red hand-knotted wool carpet in a bohemian style, with 3' x 5' and 6' x 9' among the sizes on the dropdown. The fish of the design name gives it a playful character that sits well in a relaxed living room or a bedroom. The fish motif is the main feature, so give it clear floor space where it can be seen.

Material and make

Hand-knotting means every knot is tied individually on a vertical loom; once the pile is sheared level, the carpet is dense and made for years of use. Wool is resilient and warm and springs back after furniture has stood on it. Expect a little loose fibre early on, which is normal.

In the room

The smaller size works as an entryway landing or an accent beside a bed, while the larger 6' x 9' can sit under a coffee table in a living room with the sofa's front legs resting on it. Red is a strong colour, so keep walls and upholstery fairly calm around it.

Care

Vacuum with suction only and blot spills quickly. Turn the carpet end to end once or twice a year, and use a professional cleaner when needed. Brushing the pile gently along its direction tidies the finish.
