Sadie Medallion Red & Blue Hand-Knotted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-knotted wool · sizes 5' x 8' to 9' x 12' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Sadie Medallion is a hand-knotted wool carpet in red and blue, with a medallion design. Red and blue are a strong, familiar pairing, and the medallion layout gives a room a clear point of focus on the floor.

Material and make

Hand-knotting is slow, careful work: knots are tied one by one on an upright loom, and the pile is sheared even afterwards. The surface that results is dense and long-wearing. Wool contributes warmth and spring, and recovers after furniture is moved. Loose fibre in the first days is nothing to worry about.

In the room

On this page the sizes include 5' x 8', 8' x 10' and 9' x 12'. The smallest is well suited to a bedside or an entryway, and the larger two can sit beneath a living room seating group or a bed. A medallion looks best when it is centred in the space, so measure the room first.

Care

Vacuum without a beater bar, blot spills straight away and have a professional handle deeper cleaning. Small differences in shade and size from piece to piece are part of hand-knotted work.
