Patola Patchwork Blue Silk Kantha Quilt Bedspread 90" X 108"

Quick facts: silk · free shipping across India.

This Patola patchwork silk Kantha quilt in blue is sized 90" X 108" and works as a bedspread or a light blanket. Patches of sari silk are joined in blue tones, with Kantha stitching worked in colourful cotton thread.

Details

Silk brings a soft sheen to the patchwork, and the Kantha stitching holds the layers in rows of small stitches. Because every patch differs, each part of the surface looks a little different from the next.

In the room

At 90" X 108" it covers a large bed with some drop at the sides, and it also looks good folded across the foot of a bed. Silk suits low-traffic use, so a guest room or a quiet bedroom is a natural home.

Care

Silk needs a gentle touch: have it professionally cleaned rather than machine washed, and store it folded in a cotton cloth away from damp.
