Moroccan Beni Ourain Ivory Hand-Tufted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-tufted wool · sizes 5' x 8' to 9' x 12' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

This ivory hand-tufted wool carpet has a Moroccan Beni Ourain look and comes in sizes such as 5' x 8', 8' x 10' and 9' x 12'. The pale, plain face suits bedrooms and living rooms that rely on soft, natural tones, and it makes an easy partner for patterned cushions.

Material and make

Tufting is done by hand with a hand-held tool that punches yarn through a backing cloth; the carpet is then backed and sheared, which gives a plush finish. Wool adds warmth and resilience. Loose fibre in the early days is normal and fades with vacuuming, and the surface settles as the carpet is used.

In the room

Choose the smaller size for a bedside or a reading corner, the middle size for a sofa group and the largest for an open living room. Ivory shows its character against wood or darker flooring, and cushions in terracotta or slate keep it from looking flat. Leave a margin of floor around the edge.

Care

Use a low suction and no beater bar for regular cleaning. Press spills dry immediately and call a professional for stains on a light carpet like this.
