Millie is a green hand-tufted wool carpet with a floral design, available in several sizes. The flowers sit on a fresh green ground that suits both traditional and relaxed modern rooms, and the country and floral styling stays gentle rather than showy. Material and make

Hand-tufting punches wool yarn into a cloth base by hand, after which the carpet is backed and sheared level for a plush finish. Wool brings natural warmth and spring, so the surface recovers after furniture has been shifted. A little loose fibre in the first weeks is normal.

In the room

For a bedroom, 5' x 8' lies beside the bed, and it also works in front of a sofa. For a living room or dining room, 8' x 10' and 9' x 12' provide a larger base. Measure the floor first, and keep a border of bare floor around the carpet.

Care

Vacuum gently without the beater bar, and blot spills at once. Keep it out of damp corners, and ask a professional cleaner about stubborn marks. Avoid dragging heavy furniture across the surface.
