Laila Heriz Rust & Blue Hand-Knotted Wool Carpet

Quick facts: hand-knotted wool · sizes 6' x 9' to 12' x 18' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Laila is a Heriz-style hand-knotted wool carpet in rust and blue, a traditional design for rooms that like a classic look. Rust warms the room while blue cools and balances it, so the pair is easy to place beside wood, leather and plain walls. It is offered in sizes from 6' x 9' to 12' x 18'.

Material and make

A hand-knotted carpet like this one is built knot by knot, each tied by hand on an upright loom, with the pile sheared level once the knotting is finished. The construction gives a dense, long-wearing surface. Wool is resilient and warm, springs back after footsteps, and may shed a little loose fibre in the early days.

In the room

Choose 6' x 9' for a bedroom or a compact living room, while 8' x 10' gives a standard living room a full seating area, with the sofa and chairs resting on the carpet. 12' x 18' is meant for a large living room or a spacious hall, where it can anchor several pieces of furniture at once.

Care

Vacuum without a beater bar and rotate the carpet from time to time. Blot spills at once and, for a thorough clean, use a professional carpet cleaner.
