Quick facts: hand-knotted silk · sizes 6' x 9' to 8' x 10' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

Looking for a multicolour Ikat hand-knotted silk carpet for a bedroom or living room? This bohemian sari silk design comes in room sizes such as 6' x 9' and 8' x 10', which are big enough to sit under furniture rather than just beside it.

Material and make

Every knot in this carpet is tied by hand and the pile is levelled with shears once the weaving is finished, which is what gives hand-knotted work its dense, even surface. Sari silk brings a gentle sheen to the colours and keeps the pattern lively in daylight.

In the room

The 6' x 9' size suits a bedroom with the bed placed over the upper edge, or a smaller living room where the sofa's front legs rest on the carpet. The 8' x 10' size covers a full seating group, or a dining table together with its chairs. Neutral walls and plain furniture let a multicolour pattern like this one do the talking.

Care

Weekly light vacuuming with a soft brush keeps the silk fresh. For spills or a deeper clean, speak to a professional silk cleaner, and do not scrub the pile with water at home. Rotate it through the year so sunlight reaches the colours evenly.
