Trellis Modern Geometric Lavender Handwoven Wool Dhurrie Carpet

Quick facts: handwoven wool · sizes 5' x 8' to 8' x 10' · for living room, bedroom, entryway · free shipping across India.

The Trellis is a handwoven wool dhurrie carpet in soft lavender, with a modern geometric design that keeps a room calm rather than busy. Lavender sits well beside cream walls, grey sofas and darker wood, so the carpet fits quietly into most living rooms and bedrooms. Among the size options are 5' x 8' for a bedroom, 6' x 9' for a seating area and 8' x 10' for a larger lounge.

Material and make

Dhurrie weaving is done by hand without a knotted pile, which is why this carpet lies flat, feels light and moves easily when you clean the floor. The wool brings natural resilience and warmth, and the fibres spring back after furniture has been shifted. Some shedding of loose fibre in the first days is normal for wool and settles with regular vacuuming.

In the room

The smaller size works beside a bed or in an entryway, while the larger sizes can sit under a sofa and coffee table, with the sofa's forward feet resting on the border. Because the weave is flat, this dhurrie carpet slides easily under doors and dining chairs without catching.

Care

Run the vacuum over it with the beater bar switched off, and turn the carpet around now and then so it wears evenly. Blot spills straight away, and have it professionally cleaned when it needs more than a vacuum.
