A calibrated palette reading as a floral arrangement across the surface of this rug. The composition was drawn for the loom rather than copied from any older swatch, with a particular interest in how the geometry breathes against the surrounding pile. Tufted wool gives a designer the relief and saturation that flatweave cannot, and the working time that hand-knot does not, which is why the technique has become a workshop staple across northern India.
Two tufters and a finisher worked the piece over 7 weeks. Wool yarn pushed through a stretched cotton canvas with a tufting gun, the back sealed with natural latex and a cotton scrim, the surface shorn by hand at the close. The pile carries enough density to feel substantial underfoot and enough relief to read clearly across a furnished room.
The composition
The single wool-natural field carries the floral arrangement through subtle pile relief rather than colour change, the way a Jacquard weave handles a tone-on-tone pattern. The way the cut pile catches light from one angle and absorbs it from another is what distinguishes the surface from a flatweave or a printed textile.

The rug centres a primary seating arrangement, sits below a coffee table, or anchors a bedroom with the bed entirely on the field. Mid-tone wood, polished brass, and worn leather pair well with the palette. Direct sun is welcome and warms the wool through the day. Care
Weekly suction-only vacuuming and prompt blotting of spills covers ordinary care. The latex back holds up to dry household conditions but should never be soaked, which is why home washing is best avoided. - Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.

What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom-size, custom-colour, and custom-design hand-knotted carpets typically take 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Minimum custom-order size is 4'×6'. Send us your brief on WhatsApp with the room photo and dimensions for a quote.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
