The hand of the pile is consistent across the field because each panel was tufted on a single beam by the same hands.

The composition

The palette is built around peach held against quieter undertones. The modern pattern is shorn at a relief that reads first as silhouette and second as detail. The fibre is hand-finished, which means the surface picks up light differently as the angle of view shifts across the room. Daylight from a side window will set the relief into clearer focus than overhead lighting can. The piece reads as a considered composition rather than as a printed surface, which is the dividing line between hand-finished and mass-produced tufting.

Vacuum weekly with the beater bar disengaged. A beater bar pulls fibre from any tufted rug regardless of price. Blot spills with clean cotton, never rub. Expect light shedding for the first six weeks as loose fibres clear from the pile; the body of the rug is unaffected. Rotate end for end once a year so traffic and light age the surface evenly. Professional dry-clean every two to three years.
