Source panels were originally hand-knotted by village weavers across decades of production. The reclaimed rectangles were cut to the new format, washed, and sheared to a single common pile height before being hand-stitched together over six to eight weeks of finishing work in India. The lime yellow immersion bath unified the panels under a single fresh pale value while preserving the underlying drawings as a quieter under-layer.

The composition

A pale lime yellow field holds the surface, with the original village patterns surfacing in close ochre and dropped olive tones. Hand-stitched panel seams are visible only on close approach. The pile direction varies subtly between panels, which gives the surface a soft sheen under angled light. As the wool ages, the yellow will warm slightly and the under-drawing will read more clearly.

European gallery prices for comparable bright-immersion patchwork sit at four to eight thousand euros routinely, and pale-yellow examples are unusually difficult to source.
