Greenery as an overdye lands in the territory of new spring leaves and old verdigris, a saturated mid-green that holds its position rather than drifting toward yellow or blue. Older hand-knotted wool sections were recovered, sheared, and washed clean of their previous dye. Two artisans worked the dye phase over roughly four months, lowering each piece into a greenery bath for forty-eight hours at temperature. A finisher stitched the patches to a cotton backing and gave the surface a final hand-shear to six millimetres.

The composition

A field of mid green that shifts in saturation from patch to patch, holding a brighter spring note in some sections and a deeper moss tone in others. Underlying carpet patterns ghost through as faint tonal shifts. The seams between patches read as quiet boundaries rather than hard lines. The colour reads particularly well under north-facing daylight and under warm tungsten. Over two years the green will settle by half a value into something closer to old verdigris.
