A deep forest green dominates, with darker pools at the seams where older indigo grounds drank the dye more thoroughly, and lighter spring-green flickers where worn ivory pile took the pigment lightly. Underneath, vine work, medallion fragments, and border traces register as quiet ghosts rather than statements. The eye reads the field first as a single colour, then resolves the historical pattern after a few seconds. That delay is the design.
