The composition

A field that lives between slate and ink. Beneath the dye surface the original medallions, vines, and lattices remain readable as a low-contrast topography. Reds turn to plum, ochres to bronze, bone whites to soft chalk. The composition is intentionally meditative, with the pattern functioning as texture rather than as motif. Wool takes the indigo unevenly by tradition, and the resulting micro-variations give the carpet the quiet movement of brushed velvet under raking light.
