The finished piece was washed in plant soap, sun-cured for several weeks, and hand-sheared to bring the vine drawing into clean visual relief. The whole then cured before final inspection.

A clean beige ground laid with a quiet, all-over scrolling vine pattern in soft tan and walnut. The drawing repeats but the spacing is open, in keeping with the original Ziegler discipline. The border is a single restrained guard band rather than a stack of competing repeats. The colour will lighten and warm further over the next decade, the beige drifting toward bone, the tan deepening into a softer cinnamon. Surface variation in the hand-spun wool keeps the field alive under interior light.
