A botanical field of vine, palmette, and rosette that reads as a garden viewed from above. The studio worked the colour over months of test panels to balance saturation against the open ground.
The cartoon was developed inside a contemporary design studio over several months of paper sketches, colour swatches, and full-scale digital proofs before being released to the loom. The jacquard mechanism reads the colour code one warp at a time and selects the right yarn for that point in the field. The result is a pattern register cleaner than what most hand techniques can hold over a piece of this scale.
The fibre
Heat-set synthetic yarn at a density engineered for traffic. The fibre is colourfast under direct sunlight, resistant to most household stains, and forgiving of furniture compression. The pile is built to hold its appearance across a long household life cycle, with no specialist conservation schedule to keep up with.
The composition
Vine and palmette run across the field with the density a Persian botanical pattern requires. The colour is held in the deeper tones with the lighter ground letting the field breathe. The dominant tones read as blue.
The piece in a room
5' x 8' (152 x 244 cm) anchors a generous sitting area or a dining room under an eight-seater table. The field carries weight at room scale without losing its detail. Pairs with both saturated wall colour and lime-washed neutral plaster. Engineered for traffic the wool tier would not survive. A primary corridor, a dining floor, a lobby, a child's room. The pattern reads as a considered ground rather than as a budget compromise, and the construction holds up under the kind of household life that would shorten the life of a hand-knotted piece.
Care
Vacuum once a week on standard setting. Blot spills with a clean cloth; the heat-set yarn does not absorb most stains. The pile is engineered to recover from compression, so the marks left by furniture lift on their own within hours of moving the piece.

Day-to-day care
- Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.
Deep cleaning
- Professional dry-cleaning is recommended every 12-24 months for hand-knotted carpets.
- Avoid steam cleaners and hot water on natural-fibre rugs (wool, silk, jute) — they can cause shrinkage and dye bleeding.
- For washable flat-weaves and cotton dhurries, machine-wash on a gentle cold cycle in a mesh bag.
Storage
- Roll (do not fold) the carpet around a clean cardboard tube, pile-side in.
- Wrap in breathable cotton sheeting (not plastic) and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.
- Use moth-protection sachets if storing wool for more than a season.

Each carpet is hand-crafted with natural-dye yarns, so a small variation in shade, pattern density, and tone is expected and is part of the authenticity of a handmade piece. Colours on screen also vary by monitor and lighting. If you are matching a specific decor, request a yarn sample before ordering.
Can I get a sample before buying?
Yes — we send 2-3 small yarn / pile samples for ₹500 (refundable against your purchase). Message us on WhatsApp with the SKU and your shipping pin code to arrange a sample.
What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom-size, custom-colour, and custom-design hand-knotted carpets typically take 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Minimum custom-order size is 4'×6'. Send us your brief on WhatsApp with the room photo and dimensions for a quote.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
COD is available for most pin codes in zones A and B (metros and tier-2 cities). Some remote pin codes are prepaid only — the pin-code checker above will tell you immediately.
