The Simone draws on that travelling vocabulary, gathering rust ground tones and softer light blue accents into a field that reads as nomadic in spirit yet thoroughly settled in scale. The motifs scatter rather than march. There is no rigid medallion at the centre, no formal corner cartouches, only a quiet rhythm of lozenge fragments and elongated diamonds that the eye assembles for itself.

Three artisans at a tufting frame worked the rug over six weeks in India. Pure yarn-dyed wool was driven through a stretched cotton canvas one row at a time, then sealed at the back with natural latex and a final cotton scrim. A finisher passed long shears across the surface to bring the pile to a level twelve millimetres before luster washing softened the saturation into the mellow tone tribal carpets are known for.

The composition

Rust holds the field with the warmth of fired terracotta. The light blue runs through it like water finding its course, breaking where the geometry asks for breath and gathering where the design wants weight.
