The fibre

Heat-set polypropylene. The colour is locked into the fibre by temperature rather than printed onto the surface, which is why saturation does not fade under direct sunlight. The yarn resists staining at a molecular level; coffee, juice, and wine lift with a damp cloth before they set. The pile recovers from furniture compression overnight and does not shed; there is no fibre residue to vacuum out of soft furnishings around the rug.

Why this rug

The drawing was specified by a studio that designs across both wool and synthetic categories. The transfer to a heat-set fibre keeps the design intent intact while opening the price band; the multi and vintage composition reads with the same authority it would carry in a knotted edition, at a fraction of the weaver-months and a fraction of the price.
