A clean cool grey across the entire field, with the original Ziegler-tradition vine and palmette pattern surfacing as a slightly deeper under-drawing. The chord is restrained, the discipline is architectural, and the carpet behaves as a considered ground for the room. Surface variation in the hand-spun wool keeps the grey alive under interior light, the field reading slightly cooler near the window and warmer toward the room's interior. The colour will settle further into the fibre across the next decade as use and light age the surface.
