The drawing language sits between the classical medallion tradition and the more open, colour-led compositions that would become Art Deco. Two and three weavers shared the loom across about five months. The pile is hand-spun wool with silk-feel highlights, knotted against a cotton warp at a density tight enough to render the soft graduations the design depends on. The beige is built up from three close tonal yarns rather than one, which is what gives the field its quiet depth.

Three values of beige, a barely-there central reserve, and a single guard border in the same family. The silk-feel yarn catches light from one direction and disappears from the other, so the rug reads as a luminous field at dawn and a quiet ground at noon. There is no hard pattern.
