A soft ivory field with the ikat pattern emerging in muted graphite, walnut, and faded gold along the long axis. The edges of every motif blur, the way they would in a dyed yarn, which gives the rug a painted rather than woven character. The silk surface catches direct light differently from every angle. Walked past at three o'clock the rug reads warm; at six it reads cool. The shimmer is part of the design.
