The cartoon was developed inside a contemporary design studio over several months of paper sketches, colour swatches, and full-scale digital proofs before being released to the loom. The jacquard mechanism reads the colour code one warp at a time and selects the right yarn for that point in the field. The result is a pattern register cleaner than what most hand techniques can hold over a piece of this scale.

The fibre

Polypropylene yarn engineered for stable colour and high abrasion resistance. The dye sits inside the molecule rather than on the surface, which means cleaning the rug does not lighten it. The pile recovers from furniture marks within hours of moving the piece, and a damp cloth is enough for almost every spill that household life produces.

The composition

The motifs sit on the field in the spacing the weaver judged correct rather than at the intervals a cartoon would specify. That hand-placed quality is why a tribal rug reads as alive where an industrial copy reads as inert. The dominant tones read as multi-colour.
