A Persian composition reads at room scale rather than collapsing into pattern noise. The studio drew the field around a clear figure-and-ground relationship and then adjusted the colour values for evening light as much as daylight. The result is a drawing that holds its own under both natural and artificial light without shifting in mood.

The red composition was mocked up in painted artwork, then translated into a digital pattern file at full resolution before going to the jacquard loom. The studio approved a strike-off sample at full scale before signing off on the production run.

The composition

The red field is laid out so that no single area dominates. The eye travels across the surface rather than landing in one corner. The drawing pairs with walnut, oak, brass, leather, and linen; it tolerates strongly patterned upholstery less well, since the rug is built to be the graphic note in the composition. In a room with art on the walls, hang the work in matching tonal families and let the rug do the chromatic anchoring.

The fibre

The yarn is heat-set polypropylene with the colour cured into the fibre at temperature. The pile is engineered for stain resistance and UV stability; wine and coffee blot out cleanly with a damp cloth, and direct sun does not bleach the saturation across years of use. The rug carries no shedding and does not flatten under heavy furniture.
