The pattern in this rug belongs to the long lineage of Persian-rooted oriental drawings that move between Persian, Turkish, and contemporary studios. The colour register is settled and the pattern holds at room scale, with the field designed as one continuous composition rather than as a tile that happens to repeat across a larger surface.
What sits on the loom is the result of months of preparation. The gray palette was tested against actual furniture and walls before approval; the Persian-rooted oriental drawing was scaled and re-scaled so the figure works at sofa distance and at door distance equally well. The production loom carries the design with the discipline that hand-knotting cannot match for repeatability and price.
The fibre
Heat-set polypropylene. The yarn is engineered so the colour is locked in by temperature rather than by surface dye, which is why saturation does not fade under direct sunlight the way pigment printing fades. The fibre resists staining at the molecular level: spilled wine, juice, oil, or coffee lift with a damp cloth before they set. The pile stays flat under furniture and does not shed, which makes it the practical choice for a household with daily traffic, pets, or children.

Day-to-day care
- Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.
Deep cleaning
- Professional dry-cleaning is recommended every 12-24 months for hand-knotted carpets.
- Avoid steam cleaners and hot water on natural-fibre rugs (wool, silk, jute) — they can cause shrinkage and dye bleeding.
- For washable flat-weaves and cotton dhurries, machine-wash on a gentle cold cycle in a mesh bag.
Storage
- Roll (do not fold) the carpet around a clean cardboard tube, pile-side in.
- Wrap in breathable cotton sheeting (not plastic) and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.
- Use moth-protection sachets if storing wool for more than a season.

Can I get a sample before buying?
Yes — we send 2-3 small yarn / pile samples for ₹500 (refundable against your purchase). Message us on WhatsApp with the SKU and your shipping pin code to arrange a sample.
What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom-size, custom-colour, and custom-design hand-knotted carpets typically take 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Minimum custom-order size is 4'×6'. Send us your brief on WhatsApp with the room photo and dimensions for a quote.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
COD is available for most pin codes in zones A and B (metros and tier-2 cities). Some remote pin codes are prepaid only — the pin-code checker above will tell you immediately.
