Rugsville Bentley Abstract Multi Modern Carpet 5'2" x 7'8"

The pattern was developed by a design house that has spent the last decade translating older Persian and Anatolian forms into formats that suit contemporary flats and houses. The drawing keeps the geometry of the originals and softens the palette to read against the lighter walls of modern interiors.

The composition runs through a multicolour register, with secondary tones picked up in the field geometry. The drawing breaks symmetry deliberately at the centre so the eye reads the rug as a single composed surface rather than a tile repeat. The colour is engineered for stability under direct light, which is the trade-off the format makes against the slow patina of wool. The studio worked the design across several rounds of paper revision before approving it for production, with the spacing of the geometry tuned to room scale rather than to a flat sample swatch.

The fibre

The yarn is heat-set polypropylene, an engineered fibre with the colour locked in by temperature rather than printed on. Stains resist setting because the fibre is non-porous. Direct sun does not bleach the colour the way it slowly bleaches wool. The pile does not shed.

The composition

The multicolour reading is calm under all light conditions. Walls in clay, off-white, or warm grey hold the colour. The geometry resolves at room scale and rewards closer viewing without insisting on it. The pile sits low enough that doors and chair legs glide across the surface without catching.

Care

Weekly vacuum on any setting, spot clean as needed with a damp cloth, machine wash cold for stubborn spills. Dries flat in a couple of hours over a clean towel. The fibre does not require professional treatment, does not shed, and does not change colour over time the way a wool rug will. Built for a working room with children, pets, or daily traffic.
