The motif here belongs to a long Anatolian and Persian visual vocabulary that contemporary studios in Turkey have continued to interpret in modern materials. The palette holds multi, with the densities tightening at the centre and easing toward the borders. The construction is current, the drawing is heritage, and the price reflects the choice of fibre rather than any compromise on design.
Production runs in this register stay deliberately small. The studio prefers to release a design across a measured number of sizes and retire it cleanly rather than keep it in catalogue indefinitely, which keeps the visual language fresh from one season to the next.
The composition
A multi field with the densities easing across the surface. The drawing was held back deliberately; nothing in it has to compete for attention. Sits comfortably under contemporary furniture, mid-century pieces, and most of what stands between them. The asymmetry of the composition keeps the rug from reading as a tile, which is the trap a poorly drawn jacquard often falls into.
The fibre
Polypropylene yarn, heat-set so the colour cannot leach. The construction tolerates households with children and pets, takes a damp cloth without protest, and does not shed in the way a wool tier does. The pile stays flat through years of furniture traffic.
The piece in a room
5'3" x 7'10" (160 × 239 cm) anchors a primary bedroom, a small living room, or a dining set for four to six. Day-to-day care
- Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.
Deep cleaning
- Professional dry-cleaning is recommended every 12-24 months for hand-knotted carpets.
- Avoid steam cleaners and hot water on natural-fibre rugs (wool, silk, jute) — they can cause shrinkage and dye bleeding.
- For washable flat-weaves and cotton dhurries, machine-wash on a gentle cold cycle in a mesh bag.
Storage
- Roll (do not fold) the carpet around a clean cardboard tube, pile-side in.
- Wrap in breathable cotton sheeting (not plastic) and store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.
- Use moth-protection sachets if storing wool for more than a season.

Can I get a sample before buying?
Yes — we send 2-3 small yarn / pile samples for ₹500 (refundable against your purchase). Message us on WhatsApp with the SKU and your shipping pin code to arrange a sample.
What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Custom-size, custom-colour, and custom-design hand-knotted carpets typically take 4-8 weeks depending on size and complexity. Minimum custom-order size is 4'×6'. Send us your brief on WhatsApp with the room photo and dimensions for a quote.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
COD is available for most pin codes in zones A and B (metros and tier-2 cities). Some remote pin codes are prepaid only — the pin-code checker above will tell you immediately.
