Pink in tribal weaving comes from madder root, oxidised long enough to lift the red toward rose, and the colour has belonged to the Anatolian and Caucasian vocabulary for three centuries. The pastel reading of that history sits more comfortably in a modern interior than the saturated madder of period rugs, and the Anati10 pink works as quiet warmth rather than as colour event. Two tufters and a finisher worked this rug in India over eight weeks. Wool was punched through a stretched cotton canvas one row at a time with a hand-held tufting gun, the pink field laid first and the medallion worked into the centre. The back was sealed with natural latex and a cotton scrim. The medallion silhouette was carved with long shears a millimetre below the field. The rug was washed twice after carving and sun-dried flat.
The composition
A soft pink ground, drawn closer to dusty rose than to candy, carries a pale medallion in ivory, baby blue, ochre, and walnut, framed by an ornamental vine and dot border. The pink shifts unevenly across the field because wool takes madder dye in graduated saturations. The medallion sits quiet rather than loud and the border is restrained enough to keep the composition from competing with the room. The colour palette flatters warm afternoon light.

Day-to-day care
- Vacuum gently once a week without a rotating brush bar — use the suction-only setting on hand-knotted or hand-tufted pieces.
- Rotate the rug 180° every 3-6 months so foot traffic and sunlight wear is even.
- Use a quality rug pad underneath for slip resistance and to extend life.
- Blot fresh spills immediately with a clean white cloth — do not rub. Work from the edge of the spill inward.
Deep cleaning
- Professional dry-cleaning is recommended every 12-24 months for hand-knotted carpets.
- Avoid steam cleaners and hot water on natural-fibre rugs (wool, silk, jute) — they can cause shrinkage and dye bleeding.

What is your returns process?
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery in original condition (rolled, not folded; no pet hair, smoke, or stains). Email care@rugsville.in or message us on WhatsApp with your order number — we arrange free reverse pickup in most pin codes. Refunds are processed within 3-5 working days of receipt at our warehouse.
Do you take custom orders?

Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
